April 2009 Job Search Skills Workshop Series Announced
In addition to its traditional career services, Jewish Vocational Service now offers a free 4-part series of Job Search Skills Workshops for job seekers:
Begin the Process, Job Search Preparation – Find out how a career consultant can help you focus on your career search. Organize the process of seeking employment for successful results.
Make a Great First Impression: Resumes and Cover Letters – Learn important techniques that will help you perfect your resumes and cover letters and ultimately stand apart from the crowd.
Enhance Your Networking – With 80% of jobs found through networking today, you need to know how to network effectively and efficiently. We will show you how.
Interview & Follow Up Skills – Learn winning strategies for successful interviews and some tips for what to do after the interview to enhance your chances of landing an offer you want.
Additionally, Jewish Vocational Service continues to offer Job Search Boot Camp as an intensive session for job seekers who want to review the fundamentals of a job search and discover the keys to marketing themselves in a tough economy. If you think you can handle it, don’t miss this important overview!
